As we reflect on 2024, we are thrilled to share that this year has been one of the most successful years in SoorNaad’s journey. Instead of our usual four concerts, we organized eight concerts, all met with overwhelming enthusiasm and support from our cherished community.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 83-0925764), SoorNaad has been dedicated to delivering the essence of Indian Classical Music to the Richmond community. We achieve this by inviting the finest artists from India, offering you a glimpse into the unparalleled richness of this art form.

Exciting Plans for 2025!

Our team has already begun planning for 2025, and we’re delighted to announce our Spring 2025 lineup:

• April: Ragini Shankar – Renowned violinist and granddaughter of the legendary Dr. N. Rajam.
• May: Two concerts featuring Pandit Ravindra Chari on the sitar and Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar – One of today’s most celebrated vocalists.

We are currently working on curating an equally enriching Fall concert series.

Why We Need Your Support

As we continue to bring exceptional artists and performances to Richmond, we face significant budgetary challenges. Every dollar we raise goes directly toward concert expenses, including artist remuneration, travel, auditorium rentals, and sound system charges. All SoorNaad volunteers are unpaid members who contribute their time and efforts purely out of love for music.

To maintain our mission, we need to raise at least $15,000–$20,000 to plan and execute four world-class events in 2025.
