Born in the family of legendary musicians, these sisters represent the 5th generation of the rich heritage of Pandit Anutubua Joshi, an eminent court musician in the erstwhile state of Aundh, district Satara. At tender age of 5, they began training under their grandfather, Pandit Gajananrao Joshi, whose gayaki was a perfect blend of Gwalior, Jaipur and Agra gharana. Later, they continued their saadhanaa under their uncle, Pandit Madhukarrao Joshi.
Apoorva Gokhale:
Apoorva’s approach towards presentation is unique. She has received prestigious fellowship in Indian Music from the Govt. Of India; the title of “Surmani” by Sur Singar Sansad, Mumbai; & Vidyasagar Award by music forum, Mumbai.
Pallavi Joshi:
has been awarded Govt. of India National Scholarship for Hindustani Classical vocal young artistes. She has given many solo and duet concerts in a number of prestigious music conferences in Goa, Hyderabad, Pune & abroad.
